Chatfield Elementary Students
Hunter's former teacher, Ann Shanahan, engaged her student in service learning. The 4th, 5th and 6th graders at Chatfield Elementary school created and donated 40 blankets in April 2022.
Mount Olive Lutheran Church Youth Group, Rochester
Dear friends of Hunter's family organize an annual blanket tying event at their church. Members of the Youth Group get together to tie blankets.

Hunter's Basketball Team
Hunter's basketball team is comparable to a family. When Hunter passed, his teammates didn't only lose a valuable player, but they lost a brother. Hunter's Basketball team has been more than supportive for the Hugs from Hunter Foundation. From tying blankets, to volunteering for events, the boys were there from the start.
The Family of Christ Lutheran Church
The Family of Christ Lutheran Church in
Chanhassen, MN, raised money through Confirmation offerings. At the end of the eight month period, all the middle schoolers tied blankets for Hugs from Hunter. There were a lot of smiles and laughs as the children experienced helping other kids in need. |

Chanhassen High School's Key Club, got the members to tie blankets. After two meetings of joining together and tying blankets, 80 were completed for a women and child abuse shelter. The club was also generous enough to pay for all the fabric that was tied. They have been extremely helpful throughout the years with blanket tying, quality check, and donations.

At the 2017 John Marshall Senior Party, students were gracious enough to tie blankets for Hugs from Hunter. Because of the generosity of these high school graduates, countless kids will be able to receive a bear and homemade tie blanket.
